As part of the Redcar Academy Y7 Pupil Passport initiative, students were challenged to design and bring to life their very own super hero. The task called for creativity and collaboration which they demonstrated by the bucket load. Students worked in mixed ability groups across the Design and Technology department sharing ideas and developing their team working skills.
The superhero’s thought up were truly out of this world with their talents ranging from throwing TNT from their hands to help people escape from fallen buildings to ‘Aqua Girl’ who can talk to fish and breathe under water. During the activity students had the chance to read up on existing hero’s exploits; we hope this will work in conjunction with tutor time literacy sessions to spark their passion for reading even further.
We’re no longer here! We’re over at @OutwoodRedcar now!
