About Outwood Grange Academies Trust

Outwood

The whole point of schools is that children come first and everything we do must reflect this single goal.

The Outwood Grange Academies Trust (OGAT) was born out of the success of Outwood Grange, a large school of 2,200 students which has achieved record exam results every year for the past 10 years, culminating in 84% including English & Maths. We believe we have the capacity and the experience to inspire students and staff and bring about rapid and sustained improvement for the benefit of the Local Authority and community.

OGAT currently has seven National Leaders of Education: Sir Michael Wilkins, Julie Slater, Paul Tarn, Martyn Oliver, Rob Tarn, Lee Wilson and Dr. Phil Smith who all have extensive experience of working in schools from Special Measures to Outstanding.OGAT is recognised nationally as a high performing chain of schools and is the highest performing Family of Schools in the North of England.

OGAT is a multi-academy sponsor and the Family of Schools currently comprises of fifteen schools who work together to ensure that all children irrespective of their starting point receive an excellent education.
